Bluhen Salon & Spa

This client, Bluhen Salon, came to me with a request to help them establish themselves as a new professional beauty salon in Coban A.V. Guatemala. The salon wanted to position itself as the region’s new up and coming beauty salon providing beauty care, makeup, haircuts and spa services.

We started our collaboration by establishing a clear understanding of their vision and their target audience. To position the brand on the market, I wanted to know what market needs the salon fulfils. I conducted a market research asking potential customers about the services they seek on a regular basis, their likes and dislikes when it comes to salon visits, and what attributes they consider when choosing a salon. We then followed by a deep dive into finding matches between the salon’s offers and the results of market research. Following the user-centred design process, I designed the salon’s branding and website to highlight the potential of the salon to provide their customers with exactly what they need. 

During the brand design process, mood boards and design exploration focused on creating a visual language that embodied luxury and sophistication. The choice of soft pinks with bright fuchsia served to establish a modern, fun, feminine aesthetic while muted rose golds, and crisp whites were meant to carry a sense of refinement. The logo was designed to convey professionalism with a touch of modernity. 

The website was created to be both beautiful and engaging. The goal was to position the salon as a serious business despite its novel status. I followed the website development by running a brand awareness campaign across social media to drive traffic to the website and generate customer leads. 

In order to set the client up for future success on social media, I crafted a guide for social media content with an easy-to-use branded template that allows the client to create social media graphics that follow their branding guides. These templates give the social media posts an elevated look and a professional feel while helping to maintain brand integrity and the brand’s premium status.
